The Sierra de los Filabres
Nestled in the foothills to the Sierra de los Filabres, some fifty kilometres from the coast and three hundred and fifty metres above sea level, sitting in a valley of the same name, is the tranquil village of Almanzora.
The village although only 5 kilometres from the town of Albox has a real backwater feel to it and the locals live life at a very relaxed pace.
The valley’s river, the Rio Almanzora long since dried up, is the source of the valleys rich agricultural heritage and the backdrop of the Filabres rising to over 2.000 meters offers a truly stunning setting.
Facilities in the village are just right for a great relaxing Spanish holiday experience. We have a public swimming pool, a bank complete with cash machine, chemists, a small supermarket and most importantly 4 bars, 3 of which offer a tantalizing selection of tapas and set meals.
As far as the weather goes this part of Andalusia boasts 300 plus days of sunshine a year making it the perfect holiday/biking venue.
